How do I change passwords on folders?
To change passwords on your protected folders, you need to unprotect folders and then protect them with new passwords. Please follow these steps:
- Double-click the locked folder in the right pane of Windows Explorer.
- When the password prompt pops up, enter the password and unprotect the folder.
- Right-click the folder in the right pane of Windows Explorer and select the Password Protect Folder option from the right-click menu.
- Enter your new password and a password hint to be able to remind yourself about the password if you forget it. The hint is optional.
- Click on the Lock Folder button.
That is it. Your folder is protected with your new password. Repeat steps 1-5 for all the folders you want to change passwords on.
